Carolynn Krabbenhoft Pankow passed away on Wednesday,

January 21, 2026. Carolynn celebrated her 86th birthday on

Christmas Day while a resident at Eventide Nursing Home.

Carolynn graduated from Moorhead High School and was a

member of the Apollo Strings Orchestra. She enjoyed playing the

piano and was an accomplished classical pianist, continuing

to play the piano long after high school at her church. Carolynn

worked at her mother’s floral shop and later married August Pankow

in Hankinson, ND. Following her husband’s death, she lived in

Colorado for several years and worked in her sister’s apparel boutique.

Kathryn and Carolynn were not only sisters, but also best friends who

were with each other through some difficult times and many

happy times. Carolynn is survived by her sister Kathryn (Mark)

Gunderson and her brother Charles (Denise) Krabbenhoft and

many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband,

parents, and brothers Ernest and Donald.
