Carrie Jo Krumwiede

August 7, 1984 — January 18, 2023

Carrie Jo Krumwiede, 38, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family, and under the care of Sanford Hospice.

Carrie Wilson was born August 7, 1984, to Breck and Paula Jo (Busby) Wilson in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Dilworth, MN, the youngest of three children. She graduated from Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton high school in 2002, attended MSUM and graduated in 2009 from Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, with an RN degree. She was a proud Oncology nurse at Sanford Hospital and then Roger Maris Cancer Center. Carrie had a natural calling to care for cancer patients and their families, gaining the respect of physicians and colleagues throughout her career.

She married her best friend and love of her life, Joe Krumwiede, on September 11, 2010, at Dilworth Lutheran Church. Together, they built a home and raised their sons in Dilworth until her passing. Carrie adored Joe and her boys, and cherished being a mother and wife, enjoying every aspect of life with them.

Carrie enjoyed spending her free time with family, quilting, swimming, hunting, fishing and her favorite, enjoying time at Many Point Lake. Anyone who knew Carrie, knew she faced life with a positive outlook and a unique and dark sense of humor. We will miss you, Carrie.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Joe Krumwiede. They were blessed with two sons, Hank Loyal (9) and Emit Lee (7). She is also survived by her father, Breck Wilson (Dilworth); brother, Curtis (Stef) Wilson, children Hayden and Sawyer (Dilworth); brother, Taylor (Teri) Wilson, children Summer, Kynlee and Leeham (rural Hitterdal); In-laws, Terry and Barb Krumwiede, (Richville); Jason (Sara) Krumwiede (Richville); Ryan (Taryn) Krumwiede, children, Evie and Charlie (Plymouth). Also survived by countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother (Paula), grandparents, and three uncles.

The family would like to specifically thank Amanda Ouellette for being Carrie’s “adopted” sister, along with everyone who contributed food, Meal Train donations, physical, financial, and emotional support during her hard-fought battle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Clear Cell Sarcoma Foundation (clearcellsarcoma.org) or Roger Maris Cancer Center.
