Catherine Sandness

Catherine A. Sandness, 75, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, surrounded by family and under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND.

Catherine Ann Kelley was born August 8, 1944, to Clement and Teresa (Hager) Kelley, in Bismarck, ND. She grew up in Bismarck with her 5 siblings. Cathy graduated from Priory High School in 1963. She was united in marriage to Ronald Sandness on December 27, 1975, in Fargo, ND.  They made their home in Moorhead and raised three children: Joyce, Mark and Marie.

Cathy was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to raising her children.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, knitting and listening to her books on tape.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Ron; children, Joyce (Randy) Babler, Moorhead, Mark (Laura) Sandness, Plymouth, MN, and Marie (Jeff) Koval, Fargo; brothers, Robert and Charles Kelley, and grandchildren, Alex, Elise, Taylor, Tasha and Gavin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Beudry and Helen Mohs, and brother Tom Kelley.

A memorial service will be held Sunday August 25, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., with visitation for one hour before the service, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
