Christopher L. Speer

Christopher "Chris" L. Speer, 49, of Lake Park, MN, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Golden Living Center, Battle Lake, MN. Chris was born on July 31, 1962, in Moorhead, MN to Bruce Speer and Mary Hilde. He grew up in Lake Park, where he graduated from Lake Park High School. He worked various carpentry jobs, mostly laying carpet. He also worked at a fertilizer plant and most recently, at a beet plant. Chris lived most of his life in Ada-Borup, MN. Chris enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He is survived by his two sons, Conor Speer, Dilworth, MN and Andrew Crowe, Detroit Lakes, MN; father, Bruce Speer, Lake Park, MN; mother, Mary Richard Hilde, Dilworth, MN; sisters, Donna Sheffey, Kalamazoo, MI, Doreen Myron Knodel, Glyndon, MN, Kassandra Reyden-Speer, Lake Park, MN, Paige Ennen, Mahnomen, MN, Prentise Waxler, Detroit Lakes, MN and Paizley Schoff, Audubon, MN; brothers, B. Charles Kerrie Speer, Underwood, MN and Wesley Reyden-Speer, Lake Park, MN; grandmother, Ellen Speer, Felton, MN and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by his brother Duane in 1961.
