Christy Marie Longoria

Christy Marie Longoria, 27, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND, surrounded by her loving family.

Christy was born on June 5, 1995, to Raul Jr. and Elda (Alonzo) Longoria in Fargo, ND. She was a fighter at 24 weeks and faced many difficulties over the years. Time and time again she was given little to no chance of survival, yet she always beat the odds and overcame her challenges. Christy had a bright and loving personality. She was happy, loud, and loved to let you know she was there. Though she was disabled, she still traveled often with the help of her loving parents. She had a strong affinity for music and loved her music teacher as they would often sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, together.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the outstanding individuals who helped care for Christy throughout her life. Connie DiAllesandro, who was Christy’s nurse for nearly 15 years. Christy’s grandmother, Sarah Ramirez, would fly from Texas to take care of Christy in the summers. Christy’s sister, Brandi Larson, aunt Rosario (Longoria) Alonzo, and her cousin Rosabla Longoria, who all cared for Christy.

Christy is survived by her parents, Elda and Raul Jr.; siblings, Raul (Crystal Turrubiates) Longoria III, Omar (Monica) Longoria, Carlos Longoria, and Brandi (Trevor) Larson; niece and nephews, Omar, Raul, Logan, Liam, Elliana, and one on the way; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., followed by the prayer service at 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2022, at Harvest Church, Moorhead, MN.
