Corey L. Schmidt

Corey L. Schmidt, 48, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021, in his home.

Corey Lee Schmidt was born to Ed Duklet and Lois (Thorstad) Schmidt on August 24, 1972, in Moorhead, MN. He moved to Evansville, MN, as a young boy and grew up there with his father before making his way back to Moorhead.

Corey loved deer hunting and had a passion for the outdoors. His many friends and the staff at Gateway Gardens Apartments were like family to him.

He is survived by his stepbrothers, Steve Schmidt, and Terry (Kari) Erickson; uncles, Ornell and Terry; and aunt, Bolinda.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10:30 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Final resting place will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
