Dale Willis Anderson, 97, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Eventide on 8th, Moorhead, MN.
Dale was born on February 16, 1928, to Fred and Mabel (Rowe) Anderson in Moorhead, MN. He grew up in Moorhead where he attended and graduated from Moorhead High School, class of 1948. He attended NDSU for two years before enlisting in the Army for two years during the Korean war. After nine months of service, he returned to Moorhead, MN. He was united in marriage to Margaret Iverson on November 2, 1952, in Faith, MN. He began working for WDAY as an audio engineer for the next ten to fifteen years. He then began his career as a construction inspector for Foss Engelstad Foss Architectural Engineering. After nearly thirty years, he retired, remaining in Moorhead ever since.
Dale was an avid radio controller hobbyist and was a founding member of the Valley RC Flyers. He was also an accomplished woodworker and made many pieces of furniture and other household items. He was a proud founding member, and helped with the construction of Detroit Mountain Ski Resort and loved to ski.
Dale is survived by his three sons, Mark (Ann) Anderson, Scott (Karen) Anderson, and Eric (Wendy) Anderson; grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, Corie Anderson, Kelly (Justin) Mendenhall, Aron (Ursula Tvenge) Anderson, Derek Anderson, and Dylan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Nils, Andrew, Alex, Koen, Liam, and Oren; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Margaret Ann; parents, Fred and Mabel; and sister, Corinne.
