Dale E. Wold, 92, Moorhead, MN, passed away December 1, 2025, at Heather’s House Hospice Facility.

Dale Ellsworth Wold was born March 18, 1933, in Spring Grove, MN to Adolf and Evelyn (Lian) Wold. After Adolf passed, Evelyn married Albert Brandt and the family moved to Malung, MN. Dale attended school in Roseau, MN and graduated in 1952.

On July 17, 1954, Dale was united in marriage to Evelyn N. Rice. In 1966 they moved to Crookston, MN where they raised their four children. In 1985 they moved to Moorhead, MN.

Dale loved his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dale enjoyed hockey, playing golf, riding his motorcycle, fishing, snowmobiling, pool, ping pong, gardening, mowing his grass, carving, cutting wood, working for the railroad. In his later years, he lived in a senior apartment complex where he enjoyed making coffee and visiting with fellow residents.

Dale is survived by his four children Scott (Pam) Wold, Moorhead, MN; Cheryl (Michael) Baldwin, Wake Forest, NC; Tim (Debbie) Wold, Walker, MN; Sondra (Michael) Morrow, Moorhead, MN; and 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sharon Lund and Beda Sander.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf Wold, Albert and Evelyn Brandt; wife, Evelyn Wold; sisters Deloris and Marilyn; 3 stepbrothers, Curtis, Clayton and Edson; and grandson, Tylor Schaumburg.

Dale’s family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice HIA for taking such wonderful care of Dale.

Memorial Service: Friday, December 12, at 2:00 pm at the Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
