David C.
Burrous
Apr 12, 1985 — Jul 17, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, David Christopher Burrous, who left us on July 17, 2026, at the age of 41. David brought light, laughter, and love into every life he touched. His kind heart, gentle spirit, strong faith and joyful smile will be forever remembered by his family and friends. David loved people, Chewbacca, the changing seasons, holiday decorating, his family and most of all Jesus. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories we shared will remain in our hearts always.
He is survived by his mom and dad, Phyllis Reller and David Reller, his brother Matthew Burrous (Trinity), sister Tiffany Breck (John), brother Aaron Burrous (Becky), sister Alyssa Martin (Jim) and sister Stephanie Marquart. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Bill Schmitt (Vicki), Kevin Schmitt, Keith Schmitt (Joanie), David Schmitt (Sharley), Carla Rust (Lon), Billie Demuth (Dave), Gregory Reller and Emma Hilyard, and nieces and nephews, Iliana, Archer, Rhyan, Shawn, Sierra, Kyle, Hunter, Emma, and Ellie and his cousins and many friends, who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Bio-dad Robert Burrous, Aunt Sharley and Aunt Mary, Grandma and Grandpa Schmitt and Grandma Reller.
A heartfelt thank you go out to the doctors and nursing staff at UCSF, Mayo Health Care System, Sanford and to the HIA Hospice staff in Fargo. A special thank you to the Dream Foundation which allowed David to spend time with his brother Aaron.
