David Henry

David Henry, age 72, of Pelican Rapids, formerly of Moorhead, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Fargo VA Medical Center.

David Lamont Henry was born on November 4, 1947 in Moorhead, MN, to Lamont and Esther (Humphries) Henry. David attended school in Moorhead before being drafted into the Marines. David married Diane Wamre on June 14, 1965. During his four years in the military, he served his time overseas in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he moved back to Moorhead. David was an excellent salesman and worked various sales jobs during his lifetime. David enjoyed spending time at his home on Lake Franklin in rural Pelican Rapids, MN.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diane; daughter, Jacqueline (Jeff) Jensen; grandchildren, Justin (Josie) Jensen and Jessie (David Green) Jensen; brothers, Gerry Henry, Steven (Char) Henry, and Lawrence (Gayle) Henry; and sister, Elizabeth (Michael) Mock; brothers-in-law, James (Sophia) Wamre and Lawrence Wamre; sister-in-law, Violet (Clark) Lien; many nieces and nephews; and special friends at the lake.

David was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Clifford and Evelyn Wamre; and brothers, James and William.
