Debra Irene Himmelspach, 69, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Sanford Hospice House in Fargo.

Debra was born in Fargo on December 19, 1955, the daughter of Allen and Janice (Thielman) Langdahl. She was raised at Page, ND on a farm, went to school at Page and graduated from Page High School in 1974. In the fall of 1974, she moved to Fargo to attend Interstate Business College for one year. Deb began working at Great American Insurance in Fargo shortly after college. She worked there until the winter of 1985 when she relocated to Duarte, California. She worked for Great American Insurance there while living with her sister, Cindy and her family. After 9 months, love was blooming with the love of her life, Jim Himmelspach. Jim went to California to move Deb back to Fargo in the fall of 1986. Soon after, Deb and Jim got engaged and were married in June of 1987. Deb worked for Great American again in office until 1992 and then worked for them from home until 1999.

In 2006, Deb would employ a caregiver, Mary Nelson, who became a very great friend and caregiver for 23 years. Deb cherished her friendship with Mary. Mary would continue to do things for Deb off and on until Deb’s passing. Thank you, Mary, from the bottom of our hearts for the care and friendship you provided for our Deb.

Deb is survived by her husband, Jim; siblings, Bob (Judy) Langdahl, Cindy Pilgrim, Jeanne (Gayle) Bergeron, Diane Wade and Terry (Tina) Landahl; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Janice and Allen Langdahl; in-laws, Regina and Steve Himmelspach; brother, Ron Langdahl; sister, Julie Long; brothers-in-law, Kim Long, Lee Wade and Dirk Pilgrim; nephews, Michael Long and Jayme Michael, and several aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
