Donna M. Forderer, 82, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND. Donna was born May 29, 1943, in Vancouver, WA, to Hubert and Florence (Feyereisen) Becker.

At a young age, the family moved to Linton, ND, where Donna grew up and attended school. on April 27, 1963, she married Melvin Forderer. Together they made their home in Linton and started a family. Over the years, Donna kept busy raising their 5 children and attending their activities. They moved to Barnesville and Hitterdal, MN, for a time and later to Ulen in 1992 where they farmed until 2004. In 2004, Melvin and Donna moved to Dilworth, MN, where they have lived ever since.

Donna enjoyed visiting family and travelling by car with Melvin. They would take road trips to South Dakota in the summers when they needed a quick getaway. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren whenever she could. She especially loved spending time with Melvin by going out for coffee in the mornings or going on a trip.

Donna is survived by her children, Melanie (Richard Olson) Devary, Melissa (Dan Kepler) Carlson, Leah Anderson, Mel Forderer, and Mitch (Jill) Forderer; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters; and many other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; grandson, Alex; sons-in-law, Jim and Bob; her parents and her brothers.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
