Donna Reed Woods

September 21, 1946 – May 24, 2026

Donna Reed Woods, age 79, of Moorhead, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. Donna was born on September 21, 1946, to Robert Keith and Blanche (Youmans) Offutt. She was the second of two children and spent her childhood on the family farm north of Glyndon, MN. Growing up in the farming community helped shape the strong work ethic, resilience, and caring spirit that would define her throughout her life.

Donna attended Gunderson School, a one-room schoolhouse, before graduating from Glyndon-Felton High School in 1964. There she was a member of 4-H, where she especially enjoyed showing her steer and participating in competitions.

Donna met the love of her life, Patrick Woods, and the two were married on December 13, 1974. Together they built a life centered on family and raised four children: Todd, Tomi, Jess, and Heath. For many years, Donna worked at the Mills Lounge in Dilworth, where she formed lasting friendships.

Family was the greatest joy of Donna's life. She took immense pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to bring everyone together. She was known for hosting memorable family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and home-cooked meals where there was always room for one more at the table.

Those who knew Donna will remember her caring heart, her quiet strength, and her ability to make people feel at home. She was a nice lady—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose love will continue to be felt in the lives she touched.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Keith and Blanche Offutt; her brother, Robert Bruce Offutt; and her granddaughter, Grace Woods. She is survived by her children, Todd (DeAnna) Woods, Tomi (Ron) Fike, Jess (Maria) Woods, and Heath (Sonia) Woods; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

A memorial service will be held on June 19, 2026, at 11:00am at Fargo National Cemetery. Per cemetery requirements, please arrive no sooner than 10:40.
