Duane A. Muhle

Duane was born January 12, 1932, to Ole and Edith Beckman Muhle in Moorhead, MN. He grew up in Longville, MN, and Glyndon, MN, graduating from Glyndon High School in 1950. On December 5, 1951, he married Laurine Hansen in Glyndon, MN. Together they made their home in Glyndon. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952, and served in Germany during the Korean War. When he returned he and his brother formed Muhle Brother's Construction. He continued there until his retirement. Duane enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and sports, but most of all spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed. Duane is survived by his wife of 56 years, Laurine; children, Paul Muhle of Seattle, WA, Diana Jeff Olson of Horace, ND, Nona David Palya of Glyndon, MN, Kristine Stewart Hovde of Pelican Rapids, MN; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, Robert; and sister, Gerrie Sherman Payne.He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Darlene Muhle.
