Eulale Ruth Kosen

Eulale Ruth Kosen, age 85, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Eulale was born on October 03, 1938, in Hettinger County, North Dakota, to Eddie and Bernice Rustan. She graduated from New England High School in 1956. Eulale attended 2 years at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She married Waldo Alvin Kosen on August 24, 1958, and they have lived in Moorhead, MN for the past 58 years. They celebrated their 65th anniversary last summer. They have three children: Charlene (Char) Dawn, Barton (Bart) Craig, and Elizabeth (Beth) Rayne. Eulale began working as a bookkeeper but found her true passion as a travel agent and cruise expert. Eulale loved the Caribbean, especially the island of Jamaica.

 Eulale supported the fine arts, enjoying the opera, symphony, choir, and ballet. She provided opportunities for her children and grandchildren to experience travel/study abroad experiences. She showed up to countless events for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eulale’s faith was an important part of her life. She sang in the Cathedral Choir at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN for 50 years.
 
 Eulale is survived by her husband, Waldo; children Charlene (Daniel) Alto, Bart Kosen, Beth Kosen-Judnick; grandchildren Jessamy (Jason) Thomas, Brady Kosen, Brandon (Jayme) Judnick, Callie Judnick; great-grandchildren Jade Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Sydney Judnick; brother E Lewellyn Rustan; brother-in-law Arnold Dolecheck; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Bernice, and sister, Claudia Bernadette Dolecheck.

A visitation is scheduled at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with a prayer service beginning at  7:00 pm. The funeral service is planned for Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon. The burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead, MN.
