Franklin Eugene Mccoy

Franklin Eugene McCoy of Fargo (formerly of Williston, ND) passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Bethany on University.

Franklin was born on November 9, 1923 to F.E. and Emma McCoy in Hamlet, ND. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Hansen on June 15, 1952. During their marriage they lived in Washington, D.C., Michigan, Hawaii, North Dakota, and California.

Franklin received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He practiced in Washington, D.C., Michigan, and Williston, ND. He enjoyed family, reading, and genealogy.

Franklin is preceded in death by his wife, Betty. He is survived by his children, Franklin McCoy, Jr., Jane (Jay) Spooner, Mark McCoy, Barbara (John) Spomer, Jim (Brenda) McCoy, Sarah (Mike) DeVries, Clark (Allison) McCoy; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth McCoy.

A private service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers at Bethany on University and on 42^nd for their help and support.
