George C. Booth

George C. Booth, 83, Fargo, ND, died on Thursday, February 19, 2009, in Innovis Health, Fargo, ND. George was born on April 29, 1925, in Fargo, ND, to Archie and Tammie Booth. He grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High School. He attended and graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo. George married Marilyn L. Lien on August 5, 1950 in Fargo. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He returned to the area and began teaching math and science in Glyndon, MN, and then taught in the Fargo Public Schools. He earned his Specialist Degree and became an elementary school principal in the Fargo Schools. Marilyn died on January 15, 1999. George had been a member of the Fargo Lions for many years.He is survived by his son Terry Cynthia Booth, West Fargo, ND; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a daughter, Sandee Kay.
