George Peter ‘Pete’ Fear, 71, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND.
Pete was born on January 23, 1953, to Clay and LaVerna (Siersen) Fear in Fairbanks, Alaska. The family moved to Southern California where Pete grew up. After his mother passed away, Pete and his brothers moved to Fargo, ND, to live with their aunt and uncle and graduated from Fargo South High School. He moved to Moorhead, MN, where he began working for various construction companies prior to his career with Dakota Construction, working as a carpenter. He retired in 2017. He was united in marriage to Claire Voisine on January 5, 2001, in Moorhead. Due to his inability to sit still, Pete began working part time for Advanced Auto as a parts delivery driver up until recently due to his health.
Pete loved taking care of his lawn. He kept it immaculate to the point where neighbors would stop and look in amazement and even give compliments. He lived a simple life and loved to spend time with his family and neighbors and especially cherished the time he had with his grandchildren.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Claire Voisine-Fear; children, Scotty Fear, Jonathan Fear, and Wendi Majerus; grandchildren, Jordyn Fear, Beau Majerus, Colton Majerus, Isabella Fear, and Remy Fear; brother, Andrew (Cindy) Fear, and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clay and LaVerna; and brothers, Larry, Clay, and Steve Fear.
Open House celebrating Pete will be on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at 714 22nd Ave. S., Moorhead, MN.
