Gordon E. Rustad

Gordon E. Rustad, 93, Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND.

Gordon married Carol Vondra on June 8, 1951, in Mahnomen, MN. They taught at Felton, MN, for one year and then moved to Moorhead, MN, where they made their home. Gordon enjoyed working with students as a guidance counselor in the Moorhead Public Schools until retiring in 1987.

Over the years, he was very involved in his church, the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Gordon enjoyed the many social groups and friendships he made.

He is survived by his sons, David G. (Patricia) Rustad, Edina, MN, and Paul V. (Martha) Rustad, Wayzata, MN; three grandchildren, Claire (Evan) Welo, Mark Rustad, and Marit Rustad; great granddaughter, Neve Welo; brother, Kenneth Rustad; and sister, Nyra Rustad.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; brother, Roy; and sisters, Donna and Phyllis.

A private family service will be held.

Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
