Isaac Paul Benedict, 23, of Sabin, MN, passed away on August 9, 2025, in his home in Sabin, MN.
Isaac was born on June 11, 2002, to Blane and Susan (Cook) Benedict, in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Sabin, MN, attending schools in Moorhead. He graduated from Moorhead High School with honors in 2020. After high school, he continued living in Sabin and began attending M-State. He began working for Trans Systems where he earned is commercial driver’s license where he worked until October of 2024. He was the head sugar beet roto beater during the sugar beet harvest until he began working for Ferrell Gas in December of 2024. He most recently earned his CNA license on August 1, 2025, and aspired to be a traveling nurse.
Isaac enjoyed weightlifting and was a proud member of the Moorhead Spuds weightlifting team where he competed for three years. Isaac loved being around and helping on the family farm in Sabin. He also enjoyed running Bob’s Pumpkin Patch where he planned to donate this year’s proceeds to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and to local homeless shelters. Isaac loved being around people, especially at family gatherings. He was an old soul in a young man’s body. He will be dearly missed.
Isaac is survived by his parents, Blane and Susan Benedict, Sabin, MN; siblings, Kelsey (Tony) Voller, Kihei, Maui, and Jordan (Josie) Voller, Strasburg, ND; grandparents, Curt and Dorothy Cook, Dilworth, MN, and Fran Benedict, West Fargo, ND; aunts and uncles, Mike (Robbie) Benedict, Sabin, MN, Stephanie (Jon) Walter, Glyndon, MN, Lisa (Scott) Mann, Fargo, ND, David (Sue) Benedict, Sabin, MN, Luke (Amy) Benedict, Moorhead, MN, Dan (Sheryce) Cook, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jeff (Lisa) Cook, Baker, MN; and many other living relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Patrick Benedict and aunts and uncles, Curt Benedict, Katie Benedict, and Barbara Cook.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., followed by the prayer service at 7:00 P.M., Monday, August 18, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN. Visitation will continue from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
