Janice Vigesaa, 77, of Gilbert, AZ passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Lund Home, Gilbert, AZ. Born in Pelican Rapids, MN to Edwin and Violet (Gunderson) Nelson. Janice grew up in Rollag, MN. She attended District 3 country school through 7th grade and graduated from Hawley High School in 1967. She married James Vigesaa September 7, 1968, and made their home in Hawley, MN. While raising her five children, she spent her life working with the disabled and elderly, eventually retiring to Gilbert, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and husband James. She is survived by her five kids, kids-in-law, her "manfriend" ("because he's not a boy") Jerome Mikkelson and grandchildren, Jackson, Nevaeh, Riley, Brady, and Dylan.

She was a great "Ma/Mama" to many and will be missed by all.

Visitation: Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00am-12:00pm.

Burial: Services will be private.
