Jeanette “Nettie” Glaesman, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Monday, November 24, 2025, at her home near Lake Park, MN, surrounded by those who loved her.

Nettie was born on October 18, 1944, in Hawley, MN to Donald and Louise (Bell) McDonald. Nettie grew up in Sabin, MN, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1962.

In the spring of 1960, Jeanette met Rueben Glaesman. They married on January 11, 1965. They made their home in Leola, South Dakota. They welcomed 5 children; Cathy, Ronald, Richard, Carey and Christy.

In 1986, Rueben and Jeanette moved their family to Hawley, Minnesota. Jeanette started work at Sunnyside Nursing Home and went to school to earn an Associates Degree in Medical Administration. She spent the rest of her career working in the medical field.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, her sisters, Jackie Dankert and Donna Jemtrud, her brothers, Jim McDonald and David McDonald, her brothers-in-law, Richard Glaesman, and Ronald Schauer and her beloved dog, Sammy.

Nettie is survived by her husband, Reuben of Lake Park, MN; her children, Cathy Glaesman of Lake Park, MN, Ron (Tammy) Glaesman of Lake Park, MN, Rick (Anne) Glaesman of Audubon, MN, Carey Mustafic of Ottenstein, Germany, and Christy (Mike) Baukol of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Jessie VanCamp, Paul Davidson, Josh Davidson, Paige Wagner, Joey Lindgron, Molly Orton, Lexi Bonn, Payton Glaesman, Max Schneider, Malik, Tarik, Namik and Adnan Mustafic, and Clara, Nick, and Eric Baukol; sisters, Karen (Dennis) Rasmussen of Dilworth, MN and Terri Larson of Detroit Lakes, MN; brother, Gary (Deb) McDonald of Park Rapids; her sister in law, Geraldine Shauer of Ashley, ND, and many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cormorant Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
