Jennel Rae Cederberg, 66, of Hawley, MN, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in her home.

Jennel was born on October 24, 1959, in Minot, ND, and raised in Fargo, ND, by Gene and Juanita “Nita” (Maier) Langness. Growing up, she cherished time spent at the family’s lake cabin on Lake Eunice. She attended Fargo South High School and graduated in 1977 – a year early. Jennel went on to earn her Nursing degree from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

Jennel began her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield before obtaining her LPN Certification. She later spent many fulfilling years caring for others at Villa Maria, Elim Care, and most recently on the night shift at Bethany on 42nd Retirement Living, all in Fargo.

On May 19, 1979, Jennel married Keith Cederberg and together they made their home in the Fargo-Moorhead area, where they welcomed their two children, David and Stacey. In 1995, they settled on Silver Lake in Hawley, MN. Jennel had a heart for helping others; she devoted many years to supporting JJ’s Hog Roast for Hospice and cherished her time helping at the Haunted Farm in Moorhead. Above all, Jennel treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Keith; children, David (Christina) Cederberg of Owings, MD, and Stacey (Mike) Brorson of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Thomas and Hannah Cederberg; brother, Kim Langness of Minneapolis, MN, sister, Sheri Colby of Minot, ND, and special sister, Lori Niemcryk of Horace, ND; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials are preferred to Hegland Lutheran Church or HIA Hospice.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2-4 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Visitation will continue Monday, December 15, at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Hegland Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN.
