Jessie Luella Ullrich, 98 of Lake Park, MN passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at HIA Heather’s House, Fargo, ND.

Jessie was born on March 27, 1928, to Maynard and Tilla (Teigen) Nelson. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school through the 8th grade before helping on the farm full time.

On February 28, 1948, Jessie married Robert “Bob” Ullrich in Hawley, MN and they had six children. Together they enjoyed traveling by car to numerous states, but Jessie wasn’t opposed to taking a flight. When her children were grown, she loved to travel with one or more of them. These adventures took her to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Germany and Puerto Rico, to name few. She even took a “girls trip” with her daughters to California.

Jessie loved to cook and was a phenomenal baker. Her donuts were a favorite among children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful pianist which she played by ear. Visitors were always welcome at the Ullrich house and there was no shortage of coffee in her home. The hotter the better for Jessie.

She is survived by her sons, Cameron Ullrich, Lake Park, MN, Curt (Shelley) Ullrich, Lake Park, MN, Clay Ullrich, Lake Park, MN, and Clyde Ullrich, St. George, UT; daughters, Carmen McDavid, Goodyear, AZ, and Cathy (Don) Qualley, Lake Park, MN; 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; brothers Clayton and John (Patty) Nelson; and sister, Connie (Max) Baer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, six sisters and one brother.

A memorial service with livestream will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour before the service at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
