Joe William Videen

Joe Videen, 86, Hawley, MN, passed away January 13, 2024, at Hawley Senior Living.

Joe was born to Roy and Lucille (Scheid) Videen on September 26, 1937, in Moorhead, MN.  On April 23, 1962, he was united in marriage to Janet Cavalier.  Together they raised 3 children in south Moorhead. Joe enjoyed his hobbies of hunting and fishing.  Joe worked for the City of Moorhead until 1992 when he retired to take care of his wife, Janet, after she had a stroke.  In 2004 they moved to Vergas, MN where they enjoyed life on Loon Lake for 11 years.  In 2015 they moved to Hawley Senior Living.  Janet passed away in August 2015. 

Joe is survived by his children, Brenda Videen, Moorhead and Duane (Vonee) Videen, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Kellie (Justin) Perron, Archer City, TX, Kevin (Ashley) Davis, Sheridan, WY, Kayla (Brandon) Hauge, West Fargo, and Justin (Nicole) Videen, West Fargo; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Videen, Bloomington, MN, Bob (Judy) Videen, Moorhead and Steve (Gloria) Videen, Crookston, MN.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Videen; daughter, Donna Davis; great-grandson, Carter Hauge; parents, Roy and Lucille Videen; brothers, Donnie Videen and Wes Briggs, and sister-in-law, Beatrice Videen.
