Joshua M. “Josh” Moothart

Joshua M. Moothart, 46, of Moorhead, MN, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in his home.

Joshua Mark Moothart was born August 10, 1976, in Grand Forks, ND to Mark Moothart and Margaret (King) Rusch. He grew up in Hawley, MN and graduated from Hawley High School in 1994. Following high school, he obtained his Master Plumber Certification and went to work for Robert Gibb & Sons Plumbing. He later took a supervisor position with American Crystal Sugar.

Josh married Kelly Wisk on April 21, 2007, in Jamaica and they raised a daughter, Kylie, who was the light of his life.

Josh loved spending time with family and friends. He was a sports fan and enjoyed listening to music and podcasts. He also loved his dogs, Stella and Cash.

Josh is survived by his wife, Kelly; daughter, Kylie; parents, Margaret (Al) Rusch and Mark Moothart; brothers, Chris (Angie) Moothart and Casey (Sara Daede) Erdmann; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; uncle, Mark Vinje; aunt, Joan Wallace; Uncle Mike, and Uncle Pete.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Edward and Anna Vinje and Edwin and Adeline Moothart, and dog, Stella.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 at Hawley Alliance Church, Hawley, MN.

Visitation will continue Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 10-11 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 at the church.

Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery.
