Obituary

Judy Kay Busko, 78, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at HIA Heather’s House, Fargo, ND.

Judy was born on August 13, 1947, to Steve and Anne (Schachtschneider) Busko in Fergus Falls, MN. She grew up in rural Fergus Falls where she attended and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. After high school Judy attended Ritter Beauty School and graduated as a beautician. Judy worked as a hair stylist in Fergus Falls at the beginning of her marriage to Richard. Later she developed an allergy to chemicals at her work and left her hair styling career.

She was united in marriage to Richard Randklev who was enlisted with the United States Airforce. They were stationed all over the United States, including, Duluth, MN, Myrtle Beach, SC, Pheonix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, and Las Vegas, NV. They were also stationed abroad in England for nearly 5 years. After their divorce, Judy moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area to be closer to her family where she has remained ever since.

Judy was an artist and enjoyed painting, working with oils, charcoals, and watercolors. She was also a lover of pets and often had several pets at a time. In 1955 Judy won 2nd place in the Fergus Falls Pet Parade in the large dog category. Judy also loved going to the senior center to play cards, road trips to visit family and shopping with her friends.

Judy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dave Schmidt, Moorhead, MN, Ann Schmidt, Fargo, ND, Rhonda Jensen, Fergus Falls, MN, Sheri Deshitsa, Minneapolis, MN, and Kevin Busko, Fergus Falls, MN; numerous cousins; beloved cat, Dijon; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Anne, and siblings, Patricia Schmidt, Paul Busko, and an infant sibling.

A private family gathering will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to HIA Hospice Heather’s House.
