Judy L. Frisch

Judy L. Frisch, 74, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Judy was born on March 31, 1951, to Al and Shirley (Strootman) Kamstra. She grew up in Beardsley, MN, and graduated from Beardsley High School. On October 25, 1969, Judy married Dennis Frisch. Together they lived in Valley City and Aneta, ND, before settling in Moorhead, MN, and raising their family. Over the years, Judy spent much of her time and efforts volunteering and staying active in the community. She took pride in her involvement in organizations such as the MN Sports Commission, the Red River Valley Figure Skating Club and US Figure Skating National Committees, to name a few. Her passion for serving was infectious. She could often be found attending her grandchildren’s activities near and far. Judy will be remembered for her magnetic personality and the way she lived for others and loved her family.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Brad) Franklin, Shelly (Tom) Schreiner-Nelson; sons, Dan (Nikki) Frisch, Ryan (Brandii) Frisch; grandchildren, Joey, Jonny and Jake Franklin, Samantha and Thomas Schreiner, Brenner Nelson, Ethan (Jordan), Grant and Andrew Frisch, and Greta and Mazie Frisch. She is also survived by her longtime companion Dennis Frisch; brother, Dennis (Joyce) Kamstra; sister, Brenda McNichols; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, Mark Schreiner.

Visitation will be Friday, August 29, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN. 

Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
