June Elaine Standfield

June Elaine (Hanson) Standfield, 92, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND.

June was born on September 17, 1929, to Harold and Olga (Hoaby) Hanson in Dilworth, MN. She grew up in Dilworth where she graduated from Dilworth High School. She held a variety of jobs; including Scheels Hardware, an Avon Rep, and most notably as a housecleaner where she worked until a few years ago due to an injury. She was united in marriage to Byron “Bud” Standfield on May 3, 1958.

June was very active at Dilworth Lutheran Church and was very much a people person and known to most as ‘Ma’. She loved to volunteer whether at nursing homes or meals on wheels. She enjoyed playing cards with her fellow card players at card club. She loved dancing, singing, and most of all, she loved her grandkids. Her hugs and kisses will be missed.

June is survived by her loving husband, Bud; children, Dwayne Messerschmidt, Gene Messerschmidt, Jerry Messerschmidt, Sue Standfield, and Bryon (Stacy) Standfield; grandchildren, Chad (Megan McKenzie) Dickerson, Mathew Dickerson, Jason (Kendra) Dickerson, Blake (Katie) Standfield, Hunter Standfield, Tara (Dave) Snyder, and Brittany (Alex) Rasmussen; great-grandchildren, Weston, Bennett, Carter, Eli, Luke, Nevaeh, and Greyson; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Loren; daughter in law, Pat; parents, Harold and Olga; and 6 siblings.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.
