Born on November 22nd, 1955, in Traverse City, MI, to Doris Keene and William Dewar, Karl embraced life's simple pleasures – from cooking and gardening to savoring moments outdoors, especially at the beach, watching all things Star Trek, and enjoying football and baseball, particularly with his friends.
A gentle yet fiercely passionate soul, Karl stood unwavering for social justice, animals, and love. His resilience and dedication to positive change touched the lives of many, extending beyond his family to the community he served selflessly.

His journey, marked by dedication and warmth, included volunteering at Standing Rock and overcoming a tragic car accident with unmatched resilience.
