Kathleen M. Wilkinson

On the early evening of April 19, 2023, Kathleen Wilkinson passed away from natural causes. She was with her beloved sister Judy Krump at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. At the time of her passing, Kathleen was 70 years old.

Kathleen was born on January 28, 1953, in Breckenridge, MN. She was the second child and oldest daughter of Mabel (Linck) and Ralph Reisdorfer.

Kathleen graduated from Wahpeton High School and Josef’s School of Hair Design in Fargo, ND. Kathleen owned and operated a beauty salon in Cheyenne, WY for several years. She returned to ND in 1980, where she worked as an accountant at Cass County Social Services for 17 Years.

Kathleen married Milton Wilkinson, Jr. on October 19, 1996, at First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead, MN. They were married for more than 25 years. Together they enjoyed Country Western dancing, playing cards, dice games and fishing at the house on Lake Franklin.

Kathy loved scrapbooking, sewing, working in her yard and camping with her family. She served as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Moorhead, MN and frequently volunteered to work in the office.

She was very crafty, and could be found making thoughtful cards and photo books for friends and her grandchildren. She traveled frequently to visit her grandchildren and made many special memories with them in Seattle, WA and Austin. TX.

Kathleen was also a big sports fan and could be seen cheering loudly and enthusiastically for the NDSU Bison and the Minnesota Vikings.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Ralph Reisdorfer, her sister Mary Reisdorfer, and daughter-in-law, Nicole "Nica" Hongerholt.

She is survived by her husband Milton Wilkinson Jr.; her son Jason Restemayer, Marysville, WA; her step-daughters Wendy (Jay) Papasan, Austin, TX; and Heidi Wilkinson, Moorhead MN. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Ty, Skyler (Olivia Gomez), Aydenn, Tyhren, Augustus (Gus) and Veronica. As well as her Great Grandchildren, Takotah, Ty Jr, and Tyreniah. She is also survived by her siblings Gene (Jan) Reisdorfer Janesville, WI; Gloria Reisdorfer, Breckenridge, MN; Judy (Bill) Krump, Hankinson, ND; Lois (Randy) Krump, Mantador, ND; and Carol (Dale) Anderson, Breckenridge, MN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Final resting place will be in Calvary Cemetary, Wahpeton, ND.
