Keith Allan Kuehl

Keith Allan Kuehl, 71, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his home in Hawley, MN.

Keith was born on April 9, 1951, in Moorhead, MN, to Wilbert “Happy” and Vivian “Sue” (Kommer) Kuehl. He attended schools in Dilworth, where he graduated from Dilworth High School in 1969. He married Ramona Erickson on October 19, 1974, in Lake Park, MN, and they had three children.

Keith attended Dakota Business College and he earned an accounting degree. He began driving truck for Big Red Grocery in 1974 which eventually became Sysco Food Service. After retiring from Sysco, he drove truck for Mendelson Egg Company for a few years.

Keith had a great dry sense of humor and kept everyone laughing, enjoying his time with friends and family. He loved deer camp. He loved it so much that when Mona was pregnant with LeAnna, they had her induced so he could get to deer camp on time. He also loved hunting, fishing, and taking his annual trip to Alaska.

Keith is survived by his children, Angela (Scott) Hauge, Fergus Falls, MN, Travis Kuehl, Wasilla, AK, and LeAnna (Peter) Burnside, Hawley, MN; five grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, and Cora Hauge, and Chase and Rilynn Burnside; former spouse, Mona Kuehl; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Vivian; and his brother, Duane Kuehl.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., followed by the prayer service and time of sharing at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN. Visitation will continue from noon to 1:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 3, 2023, at Solem Lutheran Church, rural Hawley, MN. A recording of the visitation and the funeral service will be available shortly after the services at www.wrightfuneral.com where a guestbook and video tribute may also be found. Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN, following the service at the church.
