Kevin Deane Maesse

Kevin Maesse age 60, Wolverton, MN lost his short but courageous battle with cancer Wednesday November 2nd at Essentia Health. When he was told there was no more they could do for him, with his family by his side, he said “I will go with my boots on and a smile on my face”. He fought hard but died peacefully surrounded by family. Kevin was born February 21, 1956 to Kenneth and Helen Krogh Maesse. He graduated from Barnesville High School in 1974.
Kevin and SandyBriks were married Feb 1, 1978. They resided in Wolverton where they raised 3 wonderful children.
Kevin had dreamed of retirement for a while. This August he was forced into retirement due to cancer diagnosis. He worked for the towns of Wolverton, Comstock, Christine and Oxbow as a water maintenance operator for 26 years.
Kevin was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand and wife Sandy by his side. His love for Sandy grew stronger every day which was so apparent to anyone who knew them.
His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be missed by so many.
Kevin is survived by his Wife Sandy, sons Jeremy Beth Sabin, Jason TracyMoorhead, Daughter Angie Maesse Fargo. His Mother Helen, Moorhead. Brothers Tim Val , Kenwood, Todd Shelly, Brian Janet and Brent Tammy, Sisters LaVaye Tom Dressen And LuAnn Maesse.
Kevin also leaves behind 5 beautiful Grandchildren: Mallory, Olivia, Jacob, Gabe and Molly. Along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Maesse and Father in law Mel Briks.
Visitation will be at Wright Funeral home in Moorhead on Sunday November 6th from 5-7, with a prayer service at 7. Funeral will be Monday November 7th at Faith Lutheran in Wolverton at 2pm. Interment at Elmwood cemetery, Sabin, MN.
