Kimberly J. Hope

Kimberly J. Hope, 63, of Ada, MN, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Essentia Health in Fargo. Kimberly Jean Hope was born in Minneapolis, MN, November 8, 1958, to Karen Kuehl. She grew up in Fargo and Moorhead before moving to Hawley, where she graduated from high school. Kimberly married Steve Schenck and they started a family. She enjoyed raising the children and was able to be at home with them in their early years. She later enjoyed working outside of the home and was a caregiver in nursing homes in Moorhead. Kimberly had a passion and took pride in caring for others. She had a big heart and will be remembered for being a wonderful mother and grandmother, and for her laugh and goofy sense of humor.

Kimberly is survived by her children, Chad (Jim Donch) Schenck of Watertown, MN, Scott (Shelley) Schenck of Regent, ND, Ryan (Elizabeth Johnston) Schenck of Downer, MN, and Krista (Jordan Kjos) Timm of Hendrum, MN; seven grandchildren, Kyah, Reed, Andrew, Michael, Abby, Ivory and Lilly; sisters, Michelle (John) Anderson of Hawley, MN, Kristina King of Minneapolis, MN; and her beloved cat Toby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Michael and Mark Hystad.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 4, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 1:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Interment will be held at Hawley Cemetery.
