Leroy D. “Lee” Eidem

Leroy D. Eidem, 81, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 in his home.

Leroy Darold “Lee” Eidem was born on April 14, 1939 in Moorhead, MN, to Lloyd and Doris (Borgen) Eidem. He grew up in Felton, MN, and graduated from Crookston Agricultural School.

Following school, Lee joined the Air National Guard. After his service, Lee moved his family to Texas and took a job with Texas International Airlines, which later merged with Continental Airlines and is now United Airlines. He flew with the company until he retired at age 65.

Following retirement, Lee bought a farm in Glyndon, MN, and later moved into Moorhead where his son, Shannon, lived. They had a passion for cars and spent a lot of time at local car shows. Shannon passed away in 2010. Lee also enjoyed driving around checking the crops.

Lee is survived by his daughter, Shonda Eidem, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Bradley and Whitney Eidem-Henagan, Spring, TX; sisters, Darlene Meyer, Forest Lake, MN, and Marge Lee, Moorhead, MN, and brother, Terry Eidem, Felton, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and son.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Concordia Lutheran Church, rural Glyndon, MN. Masks are required inside the church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
