Lesha Kay Ladwig

Lesha Kay Ladwig, 58, Fargo, ND, died January 6, 2022, at Sanford Hospice House in Fargo.

Lesha was born January 26, 1963, in Ada, MN, to Gerald and Virginia (Nelson) Hoekstra.  She graduated from Twin Valley High School in 1981 and attended college for 2 years for a paralegal degree.  Lesha married Jess Ladwig on January 3, 1986 and they had 3 children together.  She worked as a paralegal at Blue Cross Blue Shield and for a couple law offices in Fargo for several years before the family moved to Maple Grove, MN in 2003.  After the move, Lesha stayed home to care for her children.

Lesha is remembered as a very giving and selfless person, always taking care of everyone else and asking nothing in return.  She would open her home to anyone in need and provided a loving home to many of her family members over the years.  She loved decorating her home and those of her family and friends, creating scrapbooks for all her family members, watching Wheel of Fortune, and spending time in Clearwater Beach, FL with her large group of friends.

Lesha is survived by her children, Justin (Danielle) Ladwig, St. Michael, MN, Brianna Ladwig, Minnetonka, MN and Branden Ladwig, Maple Grove, MN; one grandchild, Aubrey Ladwig; siblings, Jason (Jessica) Hoekstra, Ada, MN, Jamie (Jodi) Hoekstra, Fargo, Angie (Chris) Moothart, Lake Park, MN, Jo Ann Lofgren, Twin Valley, MN, Debbie Honrud, Detroit Lakes, MN and Jennifer Hoekstra, Moorhead; and lots of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2022 from 2-3 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 3 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
