Mae Johnson

Mae was born May 30, 1927, to Elmer and Alma Jellum Ellingson in Hamden Township, Becker County, MN. She attended rural schools and grew up in the Lake Park area. Mae worked at various jobs in Detroit Lakes before her marriage to Lyle Johnson on June 10, 1950, in Lake Park. Together they farmed north of Lake Park. Lyle died October 8, 1991. Mae then continued to live on the farm till April 2005 when she moved to Pleasant View Apartments in Detroit Lakes.Mae is survived by her daughter LaVaye Gerald Galbrecht; granddaughter, Geri; and grandson, Lee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Ruth Marcellyn Jones; and brothers, Elmer Helen Ellingson and Paul Vivian Ellingson.
