Margaret “Peggy” Lillian Ramstad died peacefully April 3, 2024, at Eventide on 8th, Moorhead, MN.

Peggy was born near Barnesville, MN on February 25, 1932, to William and Mildred (Jensen) Hughes. She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Grant, and children, Connie Nicklay of Moorhead, and Erik (Rachel) Ramstad of Fargo; grandchildren, Crystal Nicklay, Danielle and Mathieu Nicklay, Sarah and Maria Ramstad, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Nicklay, who passed four years ago, parents, and four siblings, Charlotte Mundstock, Mary Stempson, Charles Hughes, and Donald Hughes.

Peggy lived a full and active life doing income tax and bookkeeping for over 60 years with various businesses in Barnesville and Hawley. 26 of those years were spent as secretary for Cromwell Township.

Memorials/donations preferred to Hawley Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Hawley Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN.

Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery.
