Marjorie Rose Kasper, 85, passed away on Friday, August 9th, in the arms of her family. She was born on September 23, 1938, in Long Prairie, MN to Matthew Wiliam Kasper and Julia Rose (Dukowitz) Kasper She was the 4th of eight children. She married William Feakes on September 1, 1956 in Motley, MN and went on to have seven children. On May 18, 1975, she married Kenneth Raymond Perkins and they made their home in Glyndon, MN.
Marge was a woman of many talents. She worked in commercial loans, and retired from Norwest Bank/Wells Fargo. In her spare time she loved sewing and quilting, making her children’s clothes for many years, and winning numerous awards year after year for her quilts. Her quilts live on with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed canning, gardening, tending to her flowers, and all her animals. Her love of animals has been passed down through the generations.
Although Marge had many hobbies, her greatest love was family. She could spend hours rocking her grand and great grandchildren, and was present at most concerts, sporting events, school events, church events, modeling shoots, and anything else that they did. She was the biggest cheerleader!
Marge’s other passion was traveling, having visited several countries and almost all of the United States. She was always up for an adventure, and could be found ziplining, sledding down sand dunes, flying through a ropes course, kissing the Blarney Stone, deep sea fishing, hunting, backpacking through the mountains of WY, horseback riding, riding camels in the Holy Land and donkeys in Mexico, and she was legendary for all the 5 and 10K races that she ran with her last race being at age 78.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Perkins, daughter Debra Ann Reynolds, son Robert William Feakes, grandson Micheal Brody Feakes, great granddaughters Norah Ann Eddy and Agatha Grace Eddy, and sisters Deloris Kullman, Mary Ann Smith, and Loretta Panko.
