Mary A Lavold, 89 of Moorhead, MN passed away Thursday, February 5th, 2026, at HIA Heather's House, Fargo, ND

Mary was born April 25, 1936, to Paul and Alice Johnson of Callaway, MN. She was united in marriage to Jim Lavold of Moorhead, MN on April 3rd, 1958.

Her main focus was her family and maintaining a beautiful, loving home for all of us. In the 1980's she attended Moorhead State University, earning her B.A. in pottery. She found Joy in spending time at Tulaby and Pelican Lake, planting flowers, growing house plants, bird watching, downhill skiing and reading/studying the Bible.

She is survived by her children, Jess Lavold, Tamara (Frank) Adelson, Mia (Jim) Pearcy, Cara (Shawn) Bjerken; grandchildren, Joe, Sam Adelson, Beka (Joe) Rodriguez, Brock, Sara Pearcy, Ben Bjerken, Eli (Marianna) Bjerken; great-grandchildren, Owen, Sawyer, Laykkin, Ronan, Marcus and Julius.

She is preceded in death by parents Paul and Alice, husband Jim, sister Carol Johnson, brothers-in-law Dennis Johnson, and Duane Nelson and infant granddaughter Caitlin.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Lunch will be served after the service.
