Mavis (Leach) Wang passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, at River Pointe in Moorhead, MN under Hospice Care. Mavis was born June 5, 1934, on the family farm in rural Glyndon, MN to Arthur and Christie (Lebeda) Leach. She was the 6th of 15 children.

She attended Country School and Glyndon School through the 8th grade.

Mavis married Richard (Dick) Wang on September 21, 1955, in Moorhead, MN. Together they raised their four daughters on a farm outside of Glyndon.

She was a hard working woman, dedicated to her position on the farm. She also enjoyed sewing, fixing things that needed to be fixed and spending time with her grandkids. She also made the best donuts around.

Mavis is survived by her daughters: Sherri (Bob) Pickett, Renae (Jeff) Formo, Brenda (Dan Docken) Schmitt and Lisa Wang, grandchildren Jason (Tanya) Wang, Tabor (Marissa) Formo, Tori (Zach Schroeder) Formo and great grandson Graham Formo. Brothers Denis Leach, Larroll Leach, Darwin Leach, Curt Leach and sisters Diane Pickett, Ardelle Brandt, Doreen Wang and Bonnie Leach, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Verne Leach, Duane Leach, Don Leach, Irvin Leach, Rickie Leach and sister Elthea Lass.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 5, 2026, at the Mainline in Downer, MN  from 11:00-2:00 p.m.

Final resting place will be at Moorhead Memorial Gardens
