Mildred Kragnes

Mildred Kragnes, 82, Kragnes, MN, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, in the Halstad Living Center, Halstad, MN.Mildred Frosaker was born on August 30, 1923, near Sheyenne, ND. She grew up and attended rural school in the Rock Township School in Benson County, ND. She then went to work for various farmers in the area. Mildred later moved to Fargo, ND, where she worked at the Veteran's Affairs Regional Medical Center. Mildred married Bernard Kragnes on January 18, 1969, in Detroit Lakes, MN. He died on March 29, 2005. Mildred was a long-time member of Concordia Lutheran Church near Kragnes, MN. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.Mildred is survived by three sisters, Clara Simonson, New Rockford, ND, Anna Berg, Portland, ND, and Helen Alf Haugen, Mayville, ND; two sisters-in-law, Olive Brantner, Moorhead, and Jeness Kragnes, Fargo; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers and sisters, Hans, Carl, Lillian Olson, Edith Rue, and Ruth Holtz.
