Myron J. Brown

Myron J. Brown, 92, of Moorhead, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, in Moorhead Health Care Center, Moorhead, MN.Myron was born on November 10, 1912 to Jerome and Lillian Teel Brown in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. On June 23, 1933 Myron married Catherine Benkouski in St. Paul, MN. In September of 1942, Myron and Catherine moved to Moorhead where they have made their home since. Myron was a Civil Engineer with the Burlington Northern Railroad for 33 years until his retirement on August 1st, 1974. He was an avid fisherman and hunter until his health no longer allowed him to do so at the age of 87, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Catherine preceded him in death on March 14, 1975.He is survived by three sons, Neil Dorothy Brown, Las Vegas, NV, Lowell Beverly Brown, Moorhead, MN and Dennis Brown, Barnesville, MN; one daughter, Lois Hickman, Dilworth, MN, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; his parents; two sisters, LaDonna Eckert and Lorraine Brown; and one grand-daughter, Tina Brown.
