Dominic William “Nick” Bosh, 71, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 30, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife and their three sons. He left this world with the same quiet strength, humility, and faith that defined his life — a good and faithful servant, welcomed into the arms of the Lord.
Nick was born on August 30, 1954, in Michigan, ND, to Georgia and William Bosh. In 1978, he married the love of his life, Donna Schaan, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fargo. This year, they joyfully celebrated 47 years of marriage, a union marked by enduring love, deep faith, and unwavering devotion.
Nick and Donna built their life together in several communities they came to love. They made their home in Moorhead from 1985–1995, Thief River Falls from 1995–2005, and again in Moorhead from 2005 to the present. Wherever they lived, their home was filled with warmth, welcome, and the steady rhythm of family life. Nick and Donna were longtime members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead, where their faith continued to guide their lives.
Nick worked at various K-Mart stores in various roles for 43 years, ending with a Store Manager position starting in 1995. Known by coworkers and customers alike for his reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic, Nick dedicated his career to serving others.
Nick was a meticulous man, happiest with a perfectly polished vehicle and a quiet afternoon spent working on a project. He enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing at the lake, and sharing meaningful time with family and friends. Some of the greatest memories his family holds close are his golf cart rides with the grandkids, where his playful spirit and gentle heart shone brightest.
Grateful to have shared his life are his wife, Donna, of 47 beautiful years; and their sons: Zach and Ashley Bosh of Oxbow, ND; Tyler and Emily Bosh of Janesville, WI; and Chase and Lexie Bosh of Moorhead, MN.
Nick’s greatest joy was being “Grandpa,” and he is lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren: Drew Meckle; Ella Schonteich; Will and Charleigh Bosh; Lenny, Leo, and Sylvie Bosh; and Stella and Brooks Bosh.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Almquist and the compassionate team at Roger Maris Cancer Center, especially their home health nurse, Erica, for their exceptional care and kindness throughout Nick’s journey. They also deeply thank the staff of HIA of the Red River Valley, especially nurse Gina, for their support and steady presence. The love, prayers, and help from family and friends have been an immeasurable blessing during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roger Maris Cancer Center or HIA of the Red River Valley, organizations that walked beside Nick and his family with grace and compassion.
Nick lived a life of faith, love, and service. His legacy continues in the family he cherished, the values he lived, and the countless lives touched by his kindness. He is already deeply missed, but forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
A Mass of Christian Burial with Livestream will be held Saturday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour before the service at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
