Olive Burnham

Olive Burnham, 76, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, with her family at her side. Olive was born March 11, 1946, to Okey and Mabel (Domer) Norman.

She grew up in the Esmond/Maddock, ND area. She attended elementary school in Rich Valley, rural Esmond, ND; grade school in Maddock, ND; and graduated from Benson County Agriculture Training School (BCATS), Maddock, ND.

Olive moved to Fargo, ND where she met Curt in the fall of 1970. They were married April 19, 1974 in Glyndon, MN and started a family. They made their home in Dilworth, MN for several years, then Moorhead, MN until the summer of 1992 when they finally settled in rural Glyndon, MN on the Burnham family homestead.

Olive was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker; and enjoyed being involved with the Camp Fire Girls with her daughter, and the Boy Scouts with her son. She also enjoyed several handi-crafts and kept busy with embroidery, hardanger, knitting, quilting, crocheting, just to name a few.

Olive is survived by her husband, Curt; their children, Carrie Burnham, Curtiss Burnham; grandsons, Craig Solhjem, Chase Solhjem; granddaughters, Madilynn Burnham, Elizabeth Burnham; sister, Helen Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Okey Norman; her son-in-law, Gary Williams, Jr. (Carrie); brothers, Perry, Elmer, Walter, Okey, Jr., Monroe; sisters, May, Amy, Arkie, Alice, Karroll.
