Patricia Ann (Busby) Anderson died peacefully on August 23, 2026, in the Hospice House at Sanford Hospital.

Pat was born on February 5, 1946, in Goose Prairie Township, MN. She was born at her grandparents’ farmstead with no doctor present due to a severe snowstorm. Pat grew up on a farm in rural Hitterdal, MN, and was baptized, confirmed and married at Salem Lutheran Church in Hitterdal. She graduated from Hitterdal High School in 1964 and from the University of Minnesota in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in English, Speech and Theatre Arts.

Pat married Jerain (Jiggs) Anderson on July 29, 1967, and started their married life in St. Paul, MN. In 1971, Pat and Jiggs returned to their hometown and bought Moe’s Café, which they renamed Jiggs’ Café. While in Hitterdal, they welcomed two children: Jennifer and Joshua. In addition to running the café, Pat also taught English and speech at Ulen-Hitterdal High School between 1976 and1982. In 1988, the Anderson family relocated to West Fargo, ND, and established Jiggs’ Homestyle Restaurant. They ran it together until their retirement in 2007.

Pat was a proud mother, grandmother and octogenarian. She loved bingo, casino time, and poker games, losing as graciously as she won. Pat was a strong woman with a steely resolve who handled all situations diplomatically and tact. She was a voracious reader with a phenomenal memory. Pat became the information hub for the family and was always looking for connections in the community, even pouring over obituaries to better understand the relationships that tie people together.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Weisgram of Fargo, ND; son, Joshua Anderson of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Spencer Weisgram of Augusta, GA, and Tyler Weisgram of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Sharon (Gene) Willgohs of Henning, MN, Linda Rydjord of Vacaville, CA, Mary Karim of Duluth, MN, Gail (Tom) Spillum of Rollag, MN, Jeri Sakrismo of Twin Valley, MN, and Maureen (David) Van Den Einde of Bejou, MN; sisters-in-law, Virginia (Russell) Erickson of Sebeka, MN, Lori Busby of Hitterdal, MN, and Rebecca Busby of Bismarck, ND; brother-in-law, Breck Wilson of Dilworth, MN; aunt, Helen Gunderson of Moorhead, MN; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerain (Jiggs) Anderson; parents, Loyal and Doloris Busby; parents-in-law, Leslie and Evelyn Anderson; sister, Paula Wilson; brothers, David Busby and Danny Busby; brothers-in-law, Linn Sakrismo, Michael Rydjord, and Muhammad Reza-ul (Raj) Karim; and niece, Carrie (Wilson) Krumweide.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 7 PM, in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 2, at 11:00 AM, in Salem Lutheran Church, Hitterdal, MN.

Interment will follow the service at Salem East Cemetery, Hitterdal, MN.
