Richard A. Goebel

Richard A. Goebel, 54, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Richard Arlan Goebel was born in Scottsbluff, NE, on May 2, 1967, to Lucky and Shirley (Benzel) Goebel. He grew up traveling widely as a result of his parents serving in the military. He graduated from Prattville Senior High in Prattville, AL.

Richard enlisted in the Air Force and while serving in South Korea, met Sonchong In. They were married in Seoul, South Korea, in 1991. After serving 22 years, Richard retired from the Air Force, and they settled in Moorhead. He worked for MAG Aerospace until his passing.

He is survived by his wife; parents; brother, Randy (Lynn); nephew, Brenton; niece, Kaitlin; and great-nieces, Julia and Abigail.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
