Richard Neil “Pop” Kantelis

Richard Neil “Pop” Kantelis, 79, of Sabin, MN, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in his home in Sabin.

Pop was born on September 15, 1942, to George and Delia (Huntington) Kantelis in Boston, MA. He attended high school in Dedham, MA, before working with his father in an autobody shop. He continued working in autobody shops throughout his life until he was unable due to his heart.

Pop loved his yellow truck, playing darts, and Miller High Life. He is now living the high life.

Pop is survived by his children, Richard (Julie) Hayes, David (Paula) Hayes, Kathy Deegan, Neil (Kerri Scaramuzzo) Kantelis, and Dave (Elizabeth) Kantelis; grandchildren, Andrew (Angie) Hayes, Anna Hayes, Kory (Yazlyn) Kantelis, Kiehl Kantelis, Kaylee Kantelis, Kayla (Joe) Regonlinski, Owen Kantelis, Peighton Kantelis, and Tyler Simpson; great-grandchildren, Kieran, Kayden, and Kloui; brother, Fred (Jodi) Huntington; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karin; parents, George and Delia; son, Paul Deegan; and siblings, George Kantelis and Donna Kinney.

A memorial service will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, MN, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 5:30 P.M.
