Pamp, 90, Fargo, ND, died on Friday, April 29, 2011, in the Veteran's Affairs Regional Medical Center, Fargo, ND.Bob was born on January 1, 1921, in Huron, SD, to Carl and Elsie Williams Pamp. He graduated from Huron High School and later attended college at the University of Minnesota. Bob married Lois Evans on January 1, 1944, in Tracy, MN. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre of WWII from 1943 until 1946. Upon his discharge, he and Lois settled in Slayton, MN, where he worked in the parts department of Slayton Auto. During that time, he was actively involved with Golden Gloves Boxing as a coach and regional director for Golden Gloves in southwestern Minnesota for twenty years. Bob then went to work for the Minnesota AAA Motor Club and lived in Winthrop, Winona and then Bloomington, MN. He then bought the Farmers Insurance Agency based in Fargo, ND, with offices in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota, which he operated until retiring at the age of 65. In retirement, he worked for Selland Motors for ten years. Major Pamp served as personnel officer for the North Dakota Wing Civil Air Patrol and also worked for the Fargo Park District at the Rose Creek Golf Course and Prairiewood Golf Course as a starter. Bob was a life-long Master Mason and past master of Murray Lodge #199 in Slayton and a member of Scottish Rite and Shrine. He was an avid fisherman and duck hunter. His wife, Lois, died on August 29, 2004.Bob is survived by his brother, Bill Dorthey Pamp, Tracy, MN; sister, Kathy John, Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including nephew Doug Melanie Pamp, Garvin, MN.
