Robert "Bob" Perdue was born on April 2nd, 1954 in Duluth MN to Marlene Sanderson and Lee Perdue. During his childhood he grew up around the Ponsford area where he attended school. Bob joined the Army in 1971 and after his service he turned to working with his brother's Ron and Jay traveling to Montana and Kansas doing Fiber Optics. He began to learn the trade of construction along the way. In 1977 he married Constance Lundberg and to their union a beautiful baby girl was born on July 14th, 1980. Shalae was their only child together and she was a crucial part in keeping Bob and Connie close friends, all the way up until her passing, just a week before Bob on November 2nd.
In the early 80's while working construction, Bob would meet his lifelong best friend Russ, where the two of them would start R&R construction. Bob was a man of many talents. He loved woodworking and smoking his famous venison polish sausage. He was adventurous and loved camping, bonfires, fishing on Anderson Lake, deer hunting, road tripping, music and dancing. If Bob didn't have a cold one in his hand, just kidding, he always had a beer in hand and spares to share!!
Bob had lived in SD until his health started to decline, when he decided to return home near his daughter Shalae and her family. His beloved grandchildren meant the world to him, Skylyn, Ghaven, Brock and Shelby. Being with them, hanging out was his favorite thing.
Bob was known for his quick whit with his gravely voice, and a big sense of humor. He was always picking and poking jokes but loving at the same time. He truly was a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. He had many "extra" nieces and nephews, and even "extra" great nieces and nephews. He was always known to them as Uncle Bob.
During the last few months when his health was declining he had several visits with Russ, and had set a goal that he would be back out deer hunting again with him like last year where he would tag himself a big buck, he even bought both of their licenses for this year.
Bob danced off into heaven on Veterans day November 11th, 2024.
